New releases from Magic Box International

Spanish manufacturer Magic Box International has launched two products under its new 'Sweet Magic Box' brand. The first is a collection of pop-up photo cards and transfer tattoos based around the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movie. Each pop-up is slightly larger than a regular sized trading card and can be made to stand up by folding out its back. On the front of each card is a full-bleed image taken from the film. The numbered backs would all appear to feature the Tomb Raider logo together with a small image of Lara Croft and copyright information. Card Zine has so far been unable to find out how many pop-ups there are in the collection; this information is not given on either the packets or the cards. The highest number we have seen so far is 24. The transfer tattoo sheets measure approximately 6cm x 4.5cm and feature symbols and photos. 30 different sheets are available to collect. The Lara Croft: Tomb Raider collection is being sold in packs containing one pop-up, two tattoo sheets and one wrapped strawberry chewy candy.
The other new release from Magic Box is a series of stand-up cards and stickers featuring photographs of pop group S Club 7. The cards are of a different design to those in the Tomb Raider series, with the backs featuring a tab that can be pulled out to make the card stand up. A set of 20 prismatic stickers accompanies the cards. Series packs contain one stand-up card, one prismatic sticker and two pieces of wrapped strawberry flavour gum. Each piece of gum comes with one of 22 smaller S Club 7 stickers.
In the UK, both series are available through WH Smith and local newsagents. Packs cost 50p.
