Smallville Season Three - Inkworks (USA)

Inkworks has unveiled Season Three trading cards for Smallville, the television drama based on Superman's teenage years. There are 90 basic cards to collect, featuring information on the third season's episodes and characters. Additional sub-sets devoted to The Legend of Krypton, Family Secrets, Lionel's Obsession and Reporter's Notebook make for variety across the basic set.

Insert cards for the series are nine Generations foil puzzle cards (1:11 packs), six Departures foil cards (1:17 packs), nine autographed cards and seven Pieceworks cards (both of these being inserted at a rate of one per box). We made up one set of the basic cards from our box (we were two cards away from a second set) and found four Generations cards and two Departures cards. Our autograph was from actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Others who have signed cards are Camille Mitchell, Felecia Bell-Schafer, Jesse Metcalfe, William B. Davis, Adrianne Palicki, Teryl Rothery, Neil Flynn and Michael McKean. The Pieceworks item we found featured part of Lex Luthor's shirt. Other items used for cards come from Clark, Lana, Pete, Chloe, Martha and Jonathan. Rounding off the collection are three box loader cards and two case loader items; one being a card, the other being issue 10 of the Smallville comic signed by the cover artist.

Smallville fans can also obtain a limited edition uncut sheet of the Generations foil puzzle cards and a collector binder to store the cards in. Seven Smallville Season Three cards are included in each pack, with 36 packs making up a display box.
