Upper Deck releases Mage Knight trading cards

WizKids' best-selling collectable miniatures game Mage Knight is now also a card series thanks to Upper Deck's entertainment division. The set, which was released this summer, is made up of 96 basic cards and features brand new artwork of Mage Knight's fantasy characters. In addition, collectors will find statistics designed to help when playing the actual Mage Knight game. Inserts for the set are 22 MK Gold foil cards featuring rare characters from the game (1:3 packs), 16 MK Melee cards featuring characters in battle (1:6), four rare MK Dragon cards (1:143) and nine autograph cards featuring the signatures of some of the game's artists and designers. 500 of each type of autograph card have been produced and each one is individually numbered. Each display box also contains one of three limited edition miniatures for use in the Mage Knight game. Every other box contains an additional rare miniature. Mage Knight trading cards are being sold in eight card packs, with 24 packs per box. Upper Deck told Card Zine that the series is being distributed in both the US and Europe.
