Looney Tunes: Back In Action - Inkworks (USA)

The Looney Tunes characters return to cinema screens in the UK shortly with Back In Action, a new comedy adventure combining live action and animation. Meanwhile, collectors can obtain a sneak preview of the film with this recently released series of trading cards from US manufacturer Inkworks.

The basic set is made up of 72 cards, which come divided into seven subseries. Character Cards and Cartoon Crew take a look at the human stars and animated characters within the film. Story cards feature the major scenes of Back in Action, with card backs retelling the film's plot. Spy Stuff is a comical look at the spy equipment used by the various characters. The Postcards subseries features the Looney Tunes characters at various locations around the world. Inkworks round off the basic set with three hint cards, which give cheat codes for the Looney Tunes: Back in Action video game on Nintendo GameCube and Playstation 2.

Insert cards for the series are nine Official Looney Tunes Tours cards, which fit together to form a foil map puzzle (1:11 packs), six ACME sparkly foil cards featuring ACME products (1:17 packs) and autograph cards (eight different, redemption cards inserted 1:36 packs). In addition, Inkworks has produced three Do-It-Yourself Flip card box loaders, one Duffy Batmobile case loader card and a Looney Tunes: Back In Action storage binder. The first 300 cases sold by Inkworks come with an extra case topper - a casino chip that was used during the filming of Back In Action. The design of this collection is superb, with card images being crisp and colourful. Back In Action trading cards are sold in six card packs, with 36 packs making up a display box.
